For the Nag Champa lover! A special version of Nag Champa produced by village women trained in the art of making incense sticks, at the foot of a sacred mountain in Tamil Nadu, South India. The Shanthimalai Research & Development Trust is a public charitable organization that serves inhabitants of this culturally rich, but impoverished region. They offer employment for widows, abandoned mothers, and physically handicapped or unmarried women who otherwise only find work as heavy field or construction laborers. A substantial portion of sales of Shanthimalai Nag Champa goes directly to the Trust, which builds community centers offering health care, vocational training, extensive women's programs and other projects in over 40 villages.
