Saraswati is the Hindu goddess of knowledge, music & all the creative arts. She is called the Mother of the Veda's, and the reposibtory of Brahma's creative intelligence. On this plaque, Saraswati is depicted sitting on a lotus blossom. She holds a mala in one hand, and is playing a veena (stringed instrument).
